When I first went to see Dr. Mills, I was in severe pain (right leg and hip) and simple walking was very difficult. Having had back surgery in Nashville six years previoously, I knew this was likely to have the same outcome. Timing could't have been worse. My youngest son was graduating from college, we had out of town guests coming in and a celebration party planned. Additionally, we had a dream family cruise planned since the year before to Europe to celebrate this as well as my upcoming retirement two months later. I basically was begging Dr. Mills to help me get thru this exciting time in my family's life. He gave me medication that temporarily relieved my pain completely. I felt like a new woman; the graduation, party & cruise was wonderful. But, as expected, when this medication wore off the pain was back with a vengeance!

I went back to Dr. Mills and we discussed my options. The decision was to have an ALIF fusion of L4 & L5. The staff handled all the necessary paperwork including pre-op testing, insurance approval and my follow up appointments. Everyone in this practice was wonderful, helpful and very patient. Angela, Dr. Mills nurse was very helpful from my first visit thru the entire process. I am now almost six weeks out from the surgery and walking 1.5 to 2 miles a day pain free. Many thanks to this entire group and especially Dr. Mills for giving me my quality of life back.

It is noteworthy to say, we only moved here a little over a year ago and had no experience with doctors here. I struggled with the decision to go back to Nashville to my previous doctor for the surgery. I did some research and I can say, with no regrets, the decision to have Dr. Mills do my fusion was an excellent one for me. I would highly recommend him and his team to anyone in need.
