- “Dr. Butler is a first class doctor. I was a champion powerlifter in my youth, and my joints have paid for it. Dr. Butler has replaced my knee, and my shoulder and I can still squat in the 400lbs. Range. Bench not so good, but I have a good quality of life. Thank You. Dr. Clark Butler.”– Robert P.Treating Doctor: J. Clark Butler, M.D.

He also told the operation and what to expect during recovery. The process went as described. - “My first trip was to find out what that lump was on my knee. It turns out it was a ganglion cyst. He drained the cyst and advised me there was a 50/50 chance it would return; but, he did not recommend surgically removing it. Sure enough, it did return several months later. He again drained it and said it would more than likely come back. At this point, I had two questions: 1. How significant could it get? 2. How much damage could it do? He was confident it would not get much larger, and it would not do any harm. As long as I could live with "the look" of a lump there, I had nothing to worry about. I assured him that, at 69 years old, most men had stopped looking at my legs long ago. And, the only one who mattered, loved me lumps and all. I was sincerely appreciative of not only Dr. Butler's knowledge but also his honesty. Not all doctors would have given up the opportunity to operate or to continue unnecessary office visits. Rest assured, if and when I do need knee surgery, Dr. Butler will be my first choice.”– Jo N.Treating Doctor: J. Clark Butler, M.D.
