  • “After suffering for two years with left knee pain, trying everything to avoid surgery, I scheduled an appointment at Strand Orthopaedics. I met with Dr. Justin Brothers, x-rayed my knee and told me that to have long-term relief I would need to have a knee replacement. I agreed to the surgery but was a little apprehensive about the procedure. Dr. Brothers had a knee replacement seminar at HealthFinders at Coastal Grand Mall before my surgery, so I attended to learn more about the method and Dr. Brothers. I left there feeling very confident that I had the right surgeon and I was more knowledgeable about the procedure. Grand Strand Medical Center also had a 1-hour class that went over details for the system and how to prepare for it. It was also very informative and instructed those in the class on how to make for the surgery. The surgery went great. They had me standing up in the recovery room soon after the surgery! I was out of the hospital in a couple of days, went to rehab for six weeks, and was back at work the 7th week. I recommend this surgery to everyone with complaints of their knee and recommend Dr. Brothers as an excellent surgeon! The care I received at Grand Strand Medical Center was also excellent! I have had no issues with my knee since my surgery and am back enjoying life with my family, and especially my active grandchildren.”

  • “The hip replacement that I had gone great. I have had no problems with it since the surgery. I had no pain whatsoever. Initially, I should have used more ice on the area. I had a good bit of swelling but that soon subsided. It took me about 24 hours or more to fully recover from the anesthesia. I was hallucinating during that time, but that dwindled before I left the hospital. The new hip has been excellent, and I can do most anything I want. I play golf on a regular basis. Thank you for your superb surgery and care.”
